I’ve had a very stressful year (2012). My passport will expire in May this coming year and I do not think I will be able to get it back on the day of the planned All Nighter. So I must say that unfortunately, there will be no Paris All Nighter this year. But I promise you that the 2014 Paris All Nighter will be a blast as I’ll have the whole of 2013 to plan for it.
Welcome to our 5th Paris All Nighter! This year we will have something new and exciting.
We will catch the last rays of the sun reflecting on the shiny buildings of La Defense, then we will be photographing Eiffel Tower from the other side of the river Seine but not before capturing the Statue of Liberty! We will also take pictures of Les Invalides, cross the bridge to La Concorde then hit Champs Elysees and get back to Eiffel Tower for sunrise. Sounds exciting right?
Eurostar ticket cost FROM £60 return from London to Paris
Booking cost: £17.50 includes Metro & RER tickets required during the walk.
Your itinerary and map will be e-mailed/posted to you on the first week of May. This trip requires Metro/RER tickets hence the increase in fee.

A one time opportunity to photograph inside an old school with models. This school building is going to be demolished in July, most of the rooms are now empty but it is still obvious that it is a school. Inside have bright coloured tiles on one side of the room, very high ceilings and big windows. Several rooms will be set-up and available to use on rotation but the rest of the school building is available to use as well as the playground.
There will be Models, MUA and stylist available on the day.
I am organising this in part for my portfolio and also to help the school PTA raise funds for equipment for the children.
Event date: June 18, 2011 Location open: 9AM to 5PM

After booking you will receive an information sheet with the models images and set descriptions. If you wish to bring a model, please feel free to do so, just warn me if you do. I want to say a big thank you to all who joined us for this year’s adventure. I hope you’ll be able to join us next year for another night of… well, adventure The general theme for 2012 is architecture.
Below are some of the images I took, I hope they’ll inspire you to join us next time.
Again, thanks to all who attended and I look forward to shooting with you soon!
Alas, this year I will not be able to attend as I will be over the pond shooting. But friends from London Flickr Meetup Group will be there to help out. In a week (at least) I will make the meetup sheets available with the itinerary, maps and times for download. At least, all you guys and gals need to do is show up and have fun shooting
Considering the “improvement” works happening in some parts of London. This will be a revisit of some places with slight modification.
Taking photographs of interiors is one of the most challenging areas of photography. This book would’ve made my job easier then. In this e-book Scott Hargis illustrates how he tackled the problem effectively. A very informative read with set-up shots and diagrams. Not to forget great end result.
There are a lot of online services that can host your images and artwork. Flickr is one, very popular and my favourite. But for a more professional look, there are many others, two other popular site are :
If these are not for you, why not self host it? Pay for your domain name and hosting and install you website? Yes, it can be expensive and there are hundreds of templates available at different price range and for different tastes. There are also several blogging platforms like WordPress, Joomla, Mambo and the rest which can be very good but intimidating at the same time especially to those not familiar with them.
My favourite blogging platfom when it comes to sharing my pictures online is PixelPost. Pixel Post is free and have a decent number of templates and add-ons. Not as many as Word Press or Joomla but still, what’s available works well.
And if I want to sell my images or to make it possible to send an e-card with then, Fotomoto add-on is the perfect way to add this.
However you wish to present your images is up to you but I hope that this post will give you an idea on some popular options.
We’ve been to Eiffel Tower, Sacree Coeur for sunset and sunrise, through the Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, La Defense and a bit around Notre Dame!
This year we will start where Bastille Saint Antoine once stood, where the French started the revolution – Bastille. Then we will pass the marina, Ile St Louis to arrive our sunset spot. The way towards our sunrise spot is full of twists and turns so I will leave that for you to discover in our itinerary. But in between, we will have a choice of two restaurants on the way.
