The trip from London and back (almost) was worth it. I got to see some demos, meet people, get intimidated by all the gears being shown.

Of course, it was great to see Olympus faces again and the E-3 I’ve been raving about :p Met some people I saw during the launch again and they were great! I did not get to walk around with the E-3 this time as it was attached to the table with a cable but I still had lots of fun.

The E-3 maybe a hefty investment but I would rather invest in a system I am sure will only improve in time, it is already a great camera. I’ve read the 36page dpreview’s review on the E-3 camera, my friends got worried about my choice. But it all comes down to what you use it for and the resulting photographs. While reading the review feels like the writer of the article is a wee bit biased, but I could be wrong.

I am less bothered with the technicalities… I like to read user reviews on what they think about it since its the us the user who are investing and will use it. Check out the Olympus area of DSLR User forum, that’s where we discuss our experiences or read about other people’s experiences with our Olympus DSLRs.

Anyways, I am looking forward to my birthday present! Now, I shall look into the catalogues I have collected and complete my list
